FIEGE Logistics kicks off operations, the first tenant to enter the new hub,a model for the future of the industry
Milan, 26 June 2024 - P3, long-term real estate investor specialising in the development, acquisition and management of logistics properties in Europe, announces the start of operations for FIEGE Logistics, to which it has leased the first of three warehouses available in the innovative P3 ALTEDO hub in San Pietro in Casale (BO) . With an impressive 38,000 m² facility, this hub is not only a logistics hub, but also a symbol of P3's commitment to excellence and sustainability.
FIEGE, a European logistics operator with a strong presence in Italy, will manage the operations on behalf of Action, a fast-growing Dutch retail chain. This partnership underlines P3's ability to attract major international brands through its innovative strategy and its commitment to cutting-edge logistics standards.
Strategically located close to the A13 motorway, the Bologna Interporto and only 20 minutes from the Guglielmo Marconi Airport, the Altedo logistics hub offers unrivalled access to major transport arteries.
P3 redefines the concept of logistics space with an unprecedented focus on sustainability.
The Altedo hub, developed on a formerly industrial site, is now a benchmark in terms of urban regeneration and social responsibility, a real driving force for the development of services to the area: more sustainable transport systems are being strengthened, with the aim of promoting soft mobility; electric recharging stations are being installed, new cycle paths are being created, and a fleet of bike sharing bikes is being made available to the logistics hub's workers - but also to the entire community - at the station, as an incentive for a greener and more active life. In addition, a public bus line is being set up, usable by the entire community, connecting the San Pietro in Casale railway station, the town of Altedo and the logistics centre; and, for workers at the new hub, the benefit of free season tickets, valid throughout the entire metropolitan area. There is also a programme of urban reforestation with high C02 absorption, the energy efficiency of building volumes, the use of photovoltaic panels, water systems that use recycled rainwater: in short, a demonstration of how it is possible to combine a productive investment with a very high level of sustainability, made possible by cutting-edge technologies.
The opening of the Altedo plant marks an important economic turning point for the area, expecting to generate more than 150 jobs between workers and employees. And with further expansion already planned, P3 is committed to being an engine of growth and opportunity for the local community.
Indeed, on the same site, P3 is developing two additional warehouses totalling a further 60,000 m², available for lease.
A big thank you goes to all the local authorities and institutions that have collaborated in the success of this important operation for the companies and the area, as well as a heartfelt thank you to all the team that has worked tirelessly alongside P3: the local partners SAP Tecnica and Studio Arvalli, the legal-urban consultancy firm Matley, the law firm MF legal, the technical and site consultancy Progeca, the demolition works contractor Società Italiana Demolizioni, the General Contractor GSE, PHOENIX archaeology and the agency ADV Log, which also has the exclusive marketing mandate for the second 26,000 sqm property, currently under construction.
