In Prague's Letňany district, P3 owns a building that has successfully served our customers operating in the industries of manufacturing and logistics for many years.
However, thanks to the massive development of residential housing, the character has changed of this part of the city. We appreciated that the interests of the growing number of local residents could potentially collide with the natural side effects of production and logistics activities, such as higher traffic levels, or noise from ventilation systems needed for manufacturing.
At P3, we constantly assess the suitability of our projects from the point of view of the local population. Therefore, we sprang into action in Letňany to ensure our park met the needs of both customers and the wider community. Our idea was to look into changing the use of the building in favour of retail, sports and entertainment.
We negotiated with potential customers and managed to conclude contracts with several very interesting businesses. Our actions were welcomed by the local government which supported the necessary change to the city zoning plan.
We are glad we had the vision to embark upon such a fundamental change and to seek the perfect mix of customers for our parks, beyond the industrial segment.
Today in our building, local residents can find a sporting goods store, a riding equipment store and – perhaps most welcome of all – the jungle climbing centre and the popular Jump Arena trampoline centre. People visit from all over Prague for fun and sports. From a business point of view, this is a very successful project. In addition, local residents have come to view P3 as a company and brand with their interests at heart.
In 2020, the European bouldering championship was held in P3’s Letňany park, on the site of a former truck yard. Talk about a good way to repurpose a building!
